A treatment whose goal is to ameliorate problems of married
couples. Various psychodynamic, sexual, ethical, and economic aspects of
marriage are considered. Husband and wife are usually seen individually or
conjointly. A broader term is couples therapy, which encompasses unmarried
couples.
